After thoroughly studying the site and the surrounding community, it was a collaborative decision between the architect and the developer to build these homes as completely detached single-family properties. The neighborhood is extremely family-oriented, with some young professionals who work from home or commute to the nearby employment centers.

The vision for Skycrest Village included integrating the remodel plan for the adjacent Lunardi’s market. Still owned and operated by the Lunardi family, this original Lunardi’s store played an integral role in driving the Mediterranean and Italian theme of Skycrest Village.

The architecture, color schemes and materials echo typical Mediterranean village home features, such as arched windows, wrought iron details and Tuscan earth tones. This inspiration resulted in a defined design that set the standard for the Skycrest Village community.
